Epiphany Mass, Wednesday, January 6

Epiphany, Wednesday, 
January 6, 2016, 6pm, 
Good Shepherd church, Henrietta.  
Fr. Jason Catania, celebrant.  
Confessions heard 20 minutes before the mass. 

The feast of Epiphany concludes the twelve days of Christmas, and in the western rite*, remembers the visit of the Magi from the East to the Christchild.  

St. Albans will celebrate the feast of Epiphany . . . on Epiphany, January 6.

Music for the Epiphany Mass on Wednesday is as follows:

Prelude: Prélude à l'Introït d'Epiphanie (Maurice Duruflé)
Hymn: 52 "As with gladness men of old" (Dix)
Offertory: 46 "Brightest and best of the sons of the morning" (Morning Star)
Recessional: 48 "Earth has many a noble city" (Stuttgart)
Postlude: Fantaisie in E flat (Camille Saint-Saëns)

. . . and chanted propers from the Plainchant Gradual as usual.
