Merry Christmas

posted Dec 24, 2012, 10:25 AM by Rochester Ordinariate

Christmas is a time of year where we Catholics of the Anglican patrimony have been doubly blessed. It is difficult to overestimate the emotions and sense of the sacred that come to us at this Holy time. This year in particular has been a rich one, with many blessings to thank God for: The formal beginning of the Ordinariate as well as our group, John Cornelius's ordination to the diaconate, our reception mass, and church home at Good Shepherd. All of our many traditions - the Christmas tree, midnight mass, the Roast Beast and Yorkshire pudding, the carols; those beautiful carols - connect us in a profound way with our forefathers in the faith and our fellow Christians around the world. Thank you all for your prayers and support as we build up the kingdom of God with our charism of the Anglican Use as we move forward into a new year.

God bless us, every one!
