Report from Paris - III

During an outing in the middle of the following week, I went to go find Sacré-Cœur Basilica.  It really is an amazing place.  While I had visited Notre Dame several times in the past, and never grow tired of it, I had never been here.  I was pleasantly surprised to find there were services on going even later on in the evening when I came to visit.  There were a group of nuns (in habit!) who sang a very nice compline service from the sanctuary - i suppose they are attached to the Basilica.  This was followed by a simple (Ordinary form) mass by a lone priest, in French of course.  The sermon was pretty good.  The basilica is an iconic landmark of Paris, and it was good to spend some quiet time there inside the church.
