Fr. Jason Catania, celebrant. 

-Saturday we will have mass, with a special choral Ordinary - Mass in the Dorian Mode (Herbert Howells).

-A sample of this mass setting (the Kyrie) can be heard here, sung at the Oxford Ordinariate group by the Newman consort.

-We welcome our vocalists:
Anna Fulton, Naomi Gregory, David Klosterman, Jacob Kasak, and Aaron James

  • ORDINATION OF BISHOP-ELECT LOPES
This Tuesday evening, February 2, Monsignor Steven Lopes will be ordained bishop and installed as the new Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. The Mass of Ordination will be broadcast live on EWTN beginning at 8:00 pm. Fr. Catania will be in Houston all week for the ordination and related events.

  • DEPARTURE OF DR. AARON JAMES
Our music director, Dr. Aaron James, has been named interim director of music at St. Mary’s Parish in Auburn, NY and consequently will no longer be able to provide music for St. Alban’s on a regular basis. Fortunately, Aaron’s frequent substitute, Mr. Jacob Kasak, has agreed to step in through the end of the academic year. Thank you to both Aaron and Jacob!

  • ASH WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 10
High Mass with the imposition of ashes will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:00 pm, at Good Shepherd Church.

  • SOLEMNITY OF THE CHAIR OF ST. PETER FEBRUARY 22
High Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 22 at 6:00 pm, at Good Shepherd Church for the patronal solemnity of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.
